SOLD
Description
Up for grabs is a lovely example of a Reference 1675, Rolex “GMT-Master”, with a rare MK2 (Mark 2) dial, only used for a short period of time in the early 1970s. The serial of this GMT-Master is 31xxxxx, dating this watch to 1971.
The watch itself is in great vintage condition. The case has been previously polished, with thick and even lugs, and nicely defined edges. The dial is devoid of any chips, scratches, or flaws, and is in great condition. The original tritium lume is still present on both the dial and hands, aged to a nice creamy yellow color. Finally, original “redback” Pepsi bezel insert is in nice condition, with light wear, and an attractive fade setting in.
The watch comes fitted on a Rolex rivet C&I bracelet, dated to 1977, and has 12 full links with light stretch.
