SOLD
Description
Up for grabs is an uncommon Rolex Day-Date, Ref. 18038, which was transitional from the Reference 1803, introducing the “single quick-set” function, which allows the owner to quickly just the date via the crown. This example dates to 1986, and is fitted with a rare “Lapis Lazuli” stone dial.
The condition of this Rolex Day-Date is great. The case his unpolished and sharp, with no major wear, with one very small ding in the bottom right lug. The Lapis stone dial is in near-perfect condition, with one very minimal crack to the stone above the date window at 12 o’clock; it is very difficult to see without a loupe, and is not visible to the naked eye.
The watch comes on its original hidden-clasp 18kt Rolex Swiss bracelet, with no stretch, and will fit an approximate 7-7.25″ wrist (four removable screws).
