Description
Up for grabs is a very well-preserved and attractive Rolex Bubbleback, Ref. 2940, circa 1940s. This example features a lovely and rare black gilt Chronometer dial, with radium arabic indices and radium hands. Finding these watches with original black dials has become increasingly difficult, especially in good condition. This Rolex Bubbleback is in great condition. The case appears unpolished, with normal wear. The dial is very well-preserved, with very light patina from aging associated with radium. Further, the original radium lume is still present on both dial and hands, aged to a beautiful orange color.
