SOLD
Description
Offered here is a beautiful example of Rolex Daytona, Ref. 6263 (circa 1978; 5.5m serial), nicknamed the “Big Red” Daytona, due to the printing of Daytona in red. This example is outfitted with a panda-silver dial, and features screwdown pushers. These screwdown pusher-Daytonas have soared in popularity over the last couple decades, and are coveted by collectors, new and old.
The condition of this Daytona is great. The case has been polished in the past, but remains thick and even. The dial is in beautiful condition, with no major flaws, scratches, marks, etc. The original tritium lume is still present on both dial and hands, with extremely nice yellow plots, all of which are well-preserved and in-tact (save for some very minor/miniscule loss to the 3 o’clock plot). The original Bakelite black bezel is likewise in great condition, with no cracks, but showing some discoloration from age.
The watch also comes on a Rolex Oyster 78350 bracelet with 571 endlinks, and has 11 full links with no stretch.
