Rolex “5513 Maxi MK2” Submariner

Description

Up for grabs is a beautiful example of a Rolex Submariner, Reference 5513, circa 1979.  This example features a desirable 2nd execution (MK2) “Maxi” dial, denoting the larger size of the lume plots, as compared to the Submariner’s predecessors.

This Rolex Submariner is in very nice vintage condition.  The case has been polished in the past, but retains thick and even lugs. The dial is in great condition, with no major wear, chips or scratches. The original tritium lume is present on the dial, aged to a nice yellow color; the hands have been professionally color-matched to the dial. The bezel insert is period correct to this reference, and is in good condition, with no major wear.  Finally, the watch is fitted on a Rolex Oyster 93150 bracelet, with 590 endlinks and has 11 full links with no stretch.
