Rolex “1680” Submariner

Description

Offered here is a very attractive example of a Rolex Submariner, featuring the date window at 3 o’clock, the Reference 1680.  This Submariner dates to 1979, in the middle of production for the “white” 1680s. This Rolex Submariner is in great vintage condition.  The case has been polished in the past, but retains thick and even lugs, with some beveled egdes still visible. The dial is in excellent condition, with no flaws, chips, marks, etc.  The tritium lume is original and present on both the dial and hands, aged to a nice yellow color on the dial, and in the process of aging on the hands.  The original and period correct bezel insert is in likewise good condition, with light wear from us.

The watch comes fitted on a Rolex Oyster 93150 bracelet with 580 endlinks, and has 11 full links with no stretch.
