Description
Offered here is an excellent time-capsule example of a Patek Philippe “Jumbo” Nautilus, the Reference 3700/1, circa 1970s. These watches are considered by many to be the best design of Gerald Genta. This Patek Phillipe Nautilus is in great vintage condition. If the case was polished, it was done lightly and properly, with original bevels in the case, bracelet, and bezel. The “Type 2” dial is in superb condition, with virtually no wear whatsoever. The original tritium lume is present on the dial and hands, aged to a golden yellow. The bracelet is likewise in great condition, and appears fully-linked
However, what sets this example apart from the pack is what comes with it! The watch remains preserved with its original Patek Philippe “cork” box, Certificate of Origin, and Patek Philippe service paperwork from Japan in 1982.
