Up for grabs is a lovely example of an uncommon and popular Patek Philippe Calatrava, reference 1578, in 18kt rose gold. The reference 1578 for around 20 years, and stands out for its larger case size, coming in at 35mm, and its distinct “spider” lugs. According to the Extract of the Archives, this Calatrava was produced and subsequently in 1966. The condition of this Patek Philippe Calatrava is very attractive. The case appears lightly polished, but very well-preserved, with hallmarks still visible. Further, the original dial remains in great condition, likely lightly cleaned in the past. The watch is fit on black leather Patek Philippe strap with matching rose gold PP tang buckle.
