Description
Offered here is a lovely Patek Philippe Calatrava, reference 1543J, in 18kt yellow gold. The reference 1543 was produced for about 10 years, from 1942 to the early 50s, and has oversized and flared “Mickey Mouse” lugs, complemented by Art-Deco numerals on the dial. This particular example dates to 1946 according to the Extract of the Archives. The condition of this Patek Philippe Calatrava is great, seemingly unpolished with crisp hallmarks on the back of the lugs, and an attractive dial, showing light patina for its age. Please Note: the winding crown appears to have been replaced in the past.
