Offered here is one of the most beautiful watches we have seen in a very long time – a Longines time-only watch, with a stunning black, rose gold gilt dial, featuring Roman numerals. According to Longines, this watch was produced in 1941, and was given the reference number 4366. Although there were many Longines of this era produced in similar fashion, this is the only one we have seen with this particular black, gilt dial.
This Longines is near perfect, amazingly well-preserved. The fixed-bars case is unpolished and razor sharp. The dial likewise incredible, maintaining its original glossy finish. Further, it is accompanied by an Extract of the Archives from Longines, dating the invoicing of this watch to August of 1941 to a retailer in Italy. This is a true collector’s grade watch, and quite frankly, one of the most striking time-only watches we have ever had the pleasure to sell – from any brand, period.
