Description
Lemania was founded by Alfed Lugrin in 1884, specifically as a movement maker and provider of complications for simpler pocket watches, chronos, etc. In fact, Lemania supplied movements to a ton of major brands since its’ inception, including the one and only, Patek Phillipe. In the 1920s, it changed to Lemania Lugrin SA and started producing watches under its own name. Finally, in 1932, Lemania joined SSIH (Societ Suisse pour LÕIndustrie Horologre), which was an agglomeration of Omega and Tissot.
This is a nice example of a pre-1960s Lemania chrono. It is outfitted with their legendary 2310 Caliber, which you may know better as the Omega Cal. 321. It is in good vintage condition, with a sharp and unpolished case. The dial has some dirt and wear, but no chips or pitting, and the hands the lost their lume. Otherwise, it is a beautiful 3-register chrono, made during the heyday of Lemania watches.
