SOLD
Description
Offered here is a rare and early (circa 1940s) Heuer “Up-Down” Chronograph, outfitted with a black gloss and gilt dial. These chronographs are so called “up-down” watches due to the position of the subdials at the 12 and 6 o’clock markers, rather than the traditional 3 and 9.
This watch is in great vintage condition. The chrome case shows wear and some plate loss, but the lugs are thick and sharp. The dial is nearly flawless, retaining all of its gloss, and with practically no blemishing to the naked eye. The crown appears to be a replacement.
