Heuer Early Black Gilt Chronograph

SOLD

Description

This is a lovely example of a rare pre-1960s Heuer Chronograph. This example stands out with its black, gilt dial. The dial is in good vintage condition, with light spotting (from lume loss). The 35mm case is in nice, unpolished condition; however, please note some light pitting to the caseback.

This watch is powered by the famous and popular two-register Valjoux 22 movement (whereas a lot of these old Heuer chronos used a Landeron movement, this one uses the v22). Further, it it is distinguished by the size of the registers in proportion to the dial, giving it a “big eye” appearance.
