Heuer Autavia “Siffert Colors”

Up for grabs is a rare manual-wind Autavia from the 1970s, bearing the reference 73463. This reference came in a variety of layouts; this example is the scarcely seen “Siffert Colors” layout, as the color-scheme used bears resemblance to the scheme of the Autavia worn by famous race car driver, Jo Siffert. This Autavia is powered by a Valjoux 7734 and features a date window at 6 o’clock.

This Heuer Autavia is in excellent condition. The case is unpolished, sharp, and untouched. The serial (216xxx) and reference numbers are still prominently visible between the lugs. The dial is in amazing condition, with no flaws in sight. The original lume is still present in the dial, and the hands have been expertly redone to match the dial. The original crystal shows some “swirling”, only visible at an angle.
