Offered here is a very rare and special Gubelin triple-date calendar watch in 18kt yellow gold, produced circa 1940-50s. Gubelin is one of the most famous retailers of wristwatches, based out of Switzerland, and founded in 1854, similar to Tiffany & Co. in the United States, or Serpico Y Laino out of Venezuela. The watch itself is in excellent vintage condition, with an unpolished and sharp case (with an intricate engraving of a former owner’s initials on the back), lovely original gilt dial, still glossy with light patina, and a long integrated bracelet, fitting an approximate 7.5″ wrist.
