Favre-Leuba "Deep Blue" Diver

SOLD

Favre-Leuba “Deep Blue” Diver

SOLD

Description

Offered here is an exceptionally rare straight-lugs Favre-Leuba “Deep Blue” Diver, made for the retailer Eddie Bauer.  Produced in the 1960s, this diver features a 38mm stainless steel screwdown case, 21-Jewel Automatic movement with date function, bakelite rotating bezel, and grey, sunburst dial.  Further, it is fitted on its original, Favre-Leuba-signed steel bracelet, a true rarity.

This Favre-Leuba Diver is in excellent condition.  The case is unpolished, with thick and even beveled lugs.  The dial is near-perfect, with one tiny mark under the 12 o’clock marker.  The original tritium lume is still present on the dial, aged to a pale yellow; the hands have been relumed some time long ago, and are a shade darker than the dial.

This model does not come up for sale often, and finding them co-signed for a retailer is next-to-impossible to find.
