Cartier “821054 Extra-Plate Guilloche” Santos Dumont

Up for grabs is a Cartier Santos Dumont, circa 1980s, which has exploded in popularity as of late, along with the majority of vintage Cartier models as of late.  The Santos Dumont was created in collaboration by Louis Cartier and Alberto Santos-Dumont.  Santos-Dumont complained about his inability to easily check the time while flying, and thus they designed a slim, light watch that would be suitable for him to comfortably wear while flying.

This Cartier Santos Dumont is in great vintage condition.  The case does not appear polished, albeit worn from use, with clearly defined bevels.  The dial is perfect, with no flaws.  The watch is fitted on a an aftermarket brown leather strap, but the original Cartier black leather strap and matching gold Cartier tang buckle is included.
