SOLD
Description
Offered here is a very rare and stunning Audemars Piguet Quantieme Perpetual, the very first reference 25558 made with a skeletonized/open-work dial, produced in 1987. This particular example is housed in platinum, of which they made only 62 examples. Further, this example was presumably made for the Sultan of Oman to be given as a gift, as it has an embossed Khanjar logo under the crystal at 4 o’clock. The watch comes with a Certificate of Authenticity from Audemars Piguet, and while they did not have a record of the Khanjar logo, the watch was found in the region, and appears untouched, remaining on its original strap and matching AP platinum buckle.
The watch itself is in excellent vintage condition, remaining unpolished with strong hallmarks, and a flawless dial.
