Description
Juvenia was founded in 1860 by Swiss watchmaker Jacques Didisheim. They were/are primarily known for producing distinctive, unusual watches. The Juvenia “Architecture” used a protractor and ruler for highly innovative time indication, and the “Trigone” featured large triangular hands.
The “Arithmo” model, offered here today, was introduced in 1945 and featured a rotating slide-rule bezel. This watch was the world’s first calculator watch.
The example offered today is in good vintage condition. The case is sharp and appears untouched. The dial is in beautiful condition, and has aged to a beautiful cream patina color. The hands are in original condition, with only some lume missing from the hour hand. The original slide-rule bezel is in good condition, and rotates freely in order to calculate figures as it should.
This is truly a unique watch, and they don’t pop up for sale too often. If you are tired of seeing the same watch over-and-over, and want something absolutely different and extremely cool, this is the watch for you!
