Eberhard "Split Seconds" Chronograph

SOLD

Eberhard “Split Seconds” Chronograph

SOLD

Description

Up for grabs is a very rare and early Eberhard Split-Seconds chronograph, circa 1940s. Eberhard first started making chronographs as early as 1919, and introduced their split-seconds in the 1940s. These split-seconds chronographs are exceedingly rare, and of the examples around, most have not aged well. The present example is one of the finest we have seen, once in the collection of the super-collector, John Goldberger. The watch features a strong, seemingly unpolished case, and near-mint, untouched dial, a true collector’s grade example!
