Cartier “17001” Ceinture

Up for grabs is a 1970-1980s Cartier Ceinture, in its larger-produced size, the reference 17001. The Ceinture was made in two different sizes, 25mm x 27mm, and the present “jumbo” version, at 31mm x 31mm. Ceinture is French for “belt”, clearly using a belt buckle for the inspiration of the interesting and layered case design. This particular Ceinture is in great vintage condition, with an unpolished case and no cracks to the enamel-finished dial. The watch comes with its original Cartier gold deployant buckle; the generic leather strap shown on the watch is very small, and an additional generic Italian leather strap and tang buckle will be included.
