Patek Philippe “1589J” Calatrava

Offered here is a lovely and oversized Patek Philippe Calatrava, reference 1589J, circa 1940s. The reference 1589 was a departure for Patek from their more traditionally and smaller sized watches, and produced for around 8 years. This particular example was produced in 18kt yellow gold, and fit with an applied roman-numeral dial. An Extract of the Archives has been ordered, and will be provided upon receipt.

This Patek Philippe Calatrava is very well-preserved. The case remains very strong, seemingly unpolished, with strong and visible hallmarks on the caseback, side of the case, and under the lugs. Further, the dial, while cleaned in the past (as most have been), is very attractive, with the hard-enamel signature entirely intact.
