Patek Philippe “Sector Single-Button 130J” Chronograph

$250,000.00

1 in stock

Description

Up for grabs is a very exciting watch – the enigmatic Patek Philippe 130 chronograph, circa 1936.  However, this is no ordinary reference 130: this particular example was fit with a very rare and desirable sector dial.  On top of that, Patek housed this example in a single-button/monopusher case, something they almost never did, meaning that the chronograph functions are all operated from a single button in the crown.  According to the Extract of the Archives, this watch was produced in 1936, and subsequently delivered in 1937.

For a watch of its age, this Patek Philippe 130 is very well-preserved.  The case remains very strong, with thick and even/well-defined lugs, and hallmarks visible.  The dial has aged gracefully, showing some light and even patina near the registers, lightly cleaned in the past; the hard enamel signature still remains raised, and presents very attractively.

This is a rare opportunity to own a definitive Patek grail, and one that rarely comes up for sale!
