SOLD
Description
Up for grabs is a lovely example of a Reference 1675, Rolex “GMT-Master”, with a rare MK2 (Mark 2) dial, only used for a short period of time in the early 1970s. The serial of this GMT-Master is 34xxxxx, dating this watch to 1972.
The watch itself is in excellent vintage condition. The case is unpolished with beautiful and well-defined original bevels. The dial is devoid of any chips, scratches, or flaws, and is in great condition. The original tritium lume is still present on both the dial and hands, aged to a nice creamy yellow color. Finally, original “redback” Pepsi bezel insert is in nice condition, with light wear, and an attractive fade set in, the red portion having aged to a pink color (the so-called “pink lady” bezel insert).
The watch comes fitted on a Rolex Swiss Jubilee 6251H bracelet, dated to 1972 with light stretch and overall very well-preserved for a jubilee of this era; the bracelet will fit an approximate 7″ wrist.
