Up for grabs is a stunning and highly unusual Universal Geneve Compax, circa 1942. Universal Geneve was one of the most innovative brands in their time, designing an enormous amount of different chronographs; because of this, something new and before unseen is always popping up, much like the present watch. Bearing the reference 22277, this Universal Geneve Compax is fitted with a silver dial and lumed hour markers, and fitted in a steel case with incredibly unique, thick “wavy” lugs – certainly a configuration we have not seen before ourselves!
This Universal Geneve Compax is in great vintage condition. The case is unpolished and sharp, with beautiful definition to the lugs. The dial is in excellent condition, with virtually no wear. Further, the watch retains all of its original radium lume in both dial and hands, aged to a beautiful orange in the hands, and aged slightly darker on the dial.
