Rolex “Full-Set MK2” GMT-Master

SOLD

Description

Up for grabs is a lovely example of a Reference 1675, Rolex “GMT-Master”, with a rare MK2 (Mark 2) dial, only used for a short period of time in the early 1970s. The serial of this GMT-Master is 31xxxx, dating this watch to 1971.  The watch is a “full-set”, coming with its original inner box, and “punched warranty certificate”, and Rolex green card holder.

The watch itself is in excellent condition.  The case appears lightly polished, with thick lugs, and original beveled edges still visible.  The dial is devoid of any chips, scratches, or flaws, and is in excellent condition.  The original tritium lume is still present on the dial and hands, aged to a beautifully vibrant, yellow color.  The original and rare variant “fat font” black bezel insert is likewise in excellent condition.

The watch comes fitted on a Rolex Swiss Jubilee 62510H bracelet, with 50 endpieces and 550 endlinks.  The bracelet has very light stretch.
