Rolex “1680” Submariner

Description

Offered here is a very attractive example of a Rolex Submariner, featuring the date window at 3 o’clock, the Reference 1680.  This Submariner dates to 1974, very early on in the production of the “white” 1680s. This Rolex Submariner is in great vintage condition.  The case appears unpolished, with sharp original beveled edges. The dial is in excellent condition, with no flaws, chips, marks, etc.  The tritium lume is original and present on both the dial and hands, aged to a vibrant yellow color.  The original and period correct bezel insert is in likewise good condition, with no scratches.

The watch comes fitted on a Rolex folded-link 9315 bracelet with 380 endlinks, and has 11 full links with very little stretch, very well-preserved.
