Rolex “1680” Submariner

Description

Offered here is a very attractive example of a Rolex Submariner, featuring the date window at 3 o’clock, the Reference 1680.  This Submariner has a serial of 50xxxxx, dating it to 1977.  This Rolex Submariner is in great vintage condition.  The case has been previously polished, but retains thick and even lugs. The dial is in excellent condition, with no flaws, chips, marks, etc.  The tritium lume is original and present on the dial, aged to a vibrant yellow color; the hands have been professionally color-matched to the dial.  The original and period correct bezel insert is in likewise good condition, with minimal wear, and aged to a dark blue/navy hue.

The watch comes fitted on a Rolex flip-lock thick bracelet, with 93150/580 endpieces/endlinks, 11 links in total, and with no stretch.
