Up for grabs is a incredibly attractive example of the popular Rolex “Red Sub” Submariner, Reference 1680, easily one of the nicest we have ever had the pleasure of selling. Bearing a serial of 3.3 million, this watch dates the watch to 1972, and has a “feet first” “MK4” dial.
This Rolex “Red” Sub is in amazing vintage condition. The case is unpolished and sharp, with original and extremely prominent beveled edges. The dial is beautiful, with no chips, scratches, marks, etc. The original tritium lume is still present on both dial and hands, with a gorgeous and vibrant yellow color. The period correct fat-font bezel insert is likewise in great condition. The watch comes on a Rolex Swiss folded-link 9315 bracelet with 280 endlinks, in nice condition with 11 full links and light stretch.
