Rolex “1680 Pumpkin” Submariner

Description

Offered here is a very attractive example of a Rolex Submariner, featuring the date window at 3 o’clock, the Reference 1680.  This Submariner dates to 1979, towards the end of production for this model.  This Rolex Submariner is in great vintage condition.  The case appears to have been polished in the past, but has incredibly sharp and beautiful beveled egdes. The dial is in excellent condition, with no flaws, chips, marks, etc.  The tritium lume is original and present on both the dial, aged to a striking pumpkin color; the hands have been professionally color-matched to the dial. The original and period correct bezel insert is in likewise good condition, with no wear.

The watch comes fitted on a Rolex Oyster 93150 bracelet with mismatched 580/593 endlinks, and has 10 full links with some stretch/wear from use.
