When Gallet expanded their distribution network to the United States, they did it with the help of Jules Racine – a cousin of the Gallet brothers that conveniently lived in the US. They would go on to sell watches under the brand names Racine, such as the watch offered today.
This watch, offered as a diving watch, is in exceptionally well-preserved condition. The case is unpolished and mint. The gloss dial is in excellent condition, maintaining all of its gloss and showing no noticeable wear. The lume on the dial and hands is completely in tact and matching. The caseback and movement are both signed Gallet.
