Patek Philippe “3700/1” Nautilus

SOLD

Description

Offered here is an excellent example of a Patek Philippe “Jumbo” Nautilus, the Reference 3700/1, circa 1980s.  These watches have exploded in popularity as of late, and are considered by many to be the best design of Gerald Genta.   This Patek Phillipe Nautilus is in great vintage condition. The case has been previously polished, but still shows nicely beveled edges. The dial is in excellent condition, with virtually no wear or aging.  The original tritium lume is present on the dial, aged to a golden yellow; the hands were relumed by Patek in 2010, according to the service record, but match closely in color to the original lume on the dial (however, the glow longer when exposed to UV light).  The watch comes to us from the original owner from Norway, and included are service receipts from 1998, 2010 and 2019; an Extract from the Archives has been ordered, and will be included in the sale.
