Breitling “Ref. 807” SuperOcean Chronograph

SOLD

Description

Up for grabs is an incredibly rare Breitling SuperOcean chronograph, Ref. 807, produced in the late 1950s.  It is believed that the 1957 SuperOcean was the first in the world to feature white registers against a black dial, later a popular style produced by many Swiss brands.  These watches are distinctive for their large, concave rotating bezel, with fits wider than the circumference of the case.

This Breitling SuperOcean is in great condition.  The case is unpolished and very sharp.  The dial excellent condition, with no marks or flaws, and still glossy, with only light dulling due to the appearance of radium over the years.  The lume, still present on the dial and hands, has aged very uniquely, with a golden yellow in the top quadrant of the dial, and black on the bottom.
