Up for grabs is a very rare Blancpain Fifty Fathoms Diver “No Radiations”, issued to the Bundeswehr, German Armed Forces in the 1960s-1970s. These watches were requisitioned by the German Army for their elite naval commando unit, the Kampfschwimmer.
This example is extremely well-preserved. The case is unpolished and scratch-free. The dial is mint, with no visible flaws or damage. The original tritium lume is present on both dial and hands, aging to a light yellow, with only very light lume loss on the 3 and 9 o’clock markers. The caseback is engraved and issued, and the correct large-screwdown Bund crown still remains with the watch.
