Up for grabs is an attractive example of the popular Rolex “Red Sub” Submariner, Reference 1680. Bearing a serial of 3.7 million, this watch dates the watch to 1972, and has one of the rarest of Red Sub dial variants – the final version, or “MK6” dial.
The watch itself is in great condition. The case shows thick and even lugs, with original beveled edges still visible, polished lightly in the past. The dial is beautiful, with no chips, scratches, marks, etc. The original tritium lume is still present in the dial and hands, aged to a nice creamy, yellow color. The watch comes on a Rolex Flip-Lock 93150/501B bracelet, and has 11 full links and no stretch.
