Eterna “Gilt Waterproof” Chronograph

SKU: 234fddw32fd2 Categories: , ,

Up for grabs is a very rare Eterna chronograph, circa 1940s, housed in an oversized, 38mm waterproof (screwback with pump pushers) case.  However, what sets this example apart is its uncommon black, “gilt” dial, featuring applied roman numeral markers. The condition on this Eterna chronograph is excellent.  The case appears unpolished, with normal wear/aging.  The dial is still very glossy, with minimal aging/patina, and exceptionally well-preserved for its age.  (Please Note: it is possible that the hour and minute hands are replacements, as the minute hand does not reach the chapter ring (as is usually the case on similar watches), although we cannot confirm the accuracy of this for a fact, as these watches are very scarce, and finding a like-example has not been possible through our research.)
