Rolex “Porcelain 16520 Zenith” Daytona

Up for grabs is a lovely example of the incredibly popular Rolex “Zenith” Daytona, so-called for its movement made by the brand, Zenith.  Rolex introduced the automatic movement chronograph in 1987, using a movement manufactured by Zenith, as it was the industry’s only self-winding chronograph movement that met Rolex’s high quality standards.  This particular example is the very first iteration that Rolex produced of the automatic movement Daytona, fitted with a “floating” and “porcelain” dial, produced in 1987 (R-serial).

This Rolex Daytona is in great vintage condition.  The case has been polished in the past, but retains thick and even lugs. The dial is in mint condition, with no flaws or cracks, and likewise for the lume. The bezel shows no detail/color loss.

Finally, the watch comes on its original and early Rolex 78660 Oyster bracelet with 503 endlinks, with 12 full links, and virtually no stretch.
