Up for grabs is an uncommon Rolex Day-Date, Ref. 18038, which was transitional from the Reference 1803, introducing the “single quick-set” function, which allows the owner to quickly just the date via the crown. This example dates to 1986, and is fitted with a rare and very popular black stone “onyx” dial. Further, the watch comes very complete with its large Rolex presidential box and “punched” Warranty Certificate, hangtags (with serial), and booklets.
The condition of this Rolex Day-Date is excellent. The case has been lightly polished in the past, retaining thick and even lugs, and appears sharp. The onyx dial is perfect, with no damage or cracks whatsoever.
The watch comes on its original hidden-clasp 18kt Rolex Swiss bracelet, with very light stretch, and will fit an approximate 6.75-7″ wrist (four removable screws).
