Rolex “6263 Panda” Daytona

Description

Offered here is a beautiful example of an early Rolex Daytona, Ref. 6263 (circa 1970; 2.8m serial), nicknamed the “Panda” Daytona.  This example is outfitted with a silver dial, and features screwdown pushers. These screwdown pusher-Daytonas have soared in popularity over the last couple decades, and are coveted by collectors, new and old.

The condition of this Daytona is great. The case has been previously polished, but lightly, with thick and even lugs. The dial is in beautiful condition, with no flaws.  The original tritium lume is still present on both dial and hands, with extremely beautiful and puffy plots, and only minor loss to the 3 o’clock plot.  The original and correct bakelite bezel is mint, with no cracks.

The watch also comes fitted on its original Rolex Oyster folded-link 7836/19 bracelet, with 257 endlinks, dated to 1970. The bracelet has light stretch from use, and has 12 links in total.

Further, the watch comes with its original Rolex box, Rolex Daytona booklet, and original retailer in-store warranty certificate, showing the original date of sale to 1973 in Halifax, Canada.
