Up for grabs is an uncommon Rolex Day-Date, Ref. 18038, which was transitional from the Reference 1803, introducing the “single quick-set” function, which allows the owner to quickly just the date via the crown. This example dates to 1979, and is fitted with a rare “wood” dial.
The condition of this Rolex Day-Date is great, very well-preserved. The case has been seemingly lightly polished in the past, with a thick and sharp case. The dial is in excellent condition, with no cracks to the wood base or lacquer.
The watch comes on its original hidden-clasp 18kt Rolex Swiss bracelet, with very light stretch, and will fit an approximate 7″ wrist, with 5 removable screws.
