Up for grabs is an uncommon Rolex Day-Date, Ref. 18038, which was transitional from the Reference 1803, introducing the “single quick-set” function, which allows the owner to quickly just the date via the crown. This example dates to 1980, and is fitted with a rare and very popular black stone “onyx” dial.
The condition of this Rolex Day-Date is excellent. The case has been lightly polished in the past, retaining thick and even lugs, and appears sharp. Further, the caseback has an engraving from the [presumably] original owner, dating to November of 1980. The onyx dial is perfect, with no damage or cracks whatsoever.
