Offered here is a stunning and rare Patek Philippe chronograph, reference 533, produced in 1947. The reference 533 began in 1937, and was produced for 20 years; however, according to Phillips, only 150 are known today, meaning that the production numbers of this model were very low. Most 533s were produced in 18kt yellow, with some produced in rose gold, such as the present example. Further, this watch features a matching rose gold colored dial. This Patek Philippe chronograph is accompanied by an Extract from the Archives, confirming production in 1947 (and subsequent sale in 1948), its original Patek Philippe box, and original Patek buckle.
The condition of this Patek Philippe chronograph is excellent. The case does not show any signs of overpolishing, if any at all, with thick and even lugs, and nice and visible hallmarks. The dial is absolutely gorgeous, seemingly unrestored, with very prominent and thick hard raised enamel. A true gem in excellent collector-grade condition, this one is not to be missed!
