Description
Up for grabs is a very rare Heuer Solunagraph, made for the American outdoor equipment company, Orvis, in the 1960-1970s. The Solunagraph was made as a chronograph, but differing from a normal chronograph due to the addition of a special feature this watch has: a tide indicator. This left register on the watch, controlled by the pusher at nine o’clock, can be used to track low and high tide. This Heuer-Orvis Solunagraph remains very well-preserved and in great vintage condition. The case remains unpolished, with nicely defined original beveled edges. The dial is in perfect condition, with no visible wear or damage. Further, the watch retains its original tritium lume on both dial and hands, aged to a nice yellow color.
